Helping Children in Need

In honor of National Volunteer Appreciation Week we are highlighting our employees that are making a difference in the world. Brandi Osborne, Program Administrator for Morning Sun Financial Services of Tennessee, is a passionate volunteer for her church, Long Hollow Baptist Church, a staple in the rural community where she lives outside of Nashville. Brandi volunteers for several church activities, including caring for children during services and outreach to the elderly. Another project is “Operation Christmas” where church members adopt a child in need and assemble shoe boxes filled with everything from socks and gloves to bracelets and doll babies. The project is done together with Brandi’s daughter, Mariah, 8. “It is a wonderful feeling to ease the load off somebody in need, someone who might have trouble paying rent or buying gas,” says Brandi. “When my daughter said ‘Mom, we have more than we ever need and I want to give to help someone who is in need,’ I knew we were making an important difference, while passing along the message of sharing to our children.”
